College Learning Commons (CLC)
The College Learning Commons (CLC) provides resources and services that foster learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are essential in a creative and innovative society. It remains a hub of activity and learning for both teachers and students seeking academic nourishment. As a complementary partner in the institution’s commitment to excellent service, CLC provides a constantly relevant and updated collection of books, journals, electronic resources, and other materials that support the institution’s curricular programs. Its goal is to provide effective and efficient services to meet its clients’ research and information needs.
College Librarian
The College Librarian assists patrons with borrowing and returning library materials, including books, electronic resources, and other items. She ensures that items are properly borrowed and received. She assists patrons by providing renewal policies and procedures. She helps patrons locate materials, provides directional assistance within the library, and addresses general inquiries.
The Library Personnel acts as custodian inside the library and its immediate premises. They organizes books, magazines, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other library materials in their proper shelves or containers. They also provides assistance to various students in terms of reference materials. They maintain the orderly appearance of the library and carries out general office duties.

LIBRARY USER TRAINING PROGRAM
Last August 29, invited speakers discussed via Zoom about the library subscriptions and system. Ms. Mary Valderama Brosas, Business Solutions Officer of CE Logic talked about Philippine E-Journals (PEJ) and Perlego, while Mr. Renzon V. Joyner, Systems Developer and an alumnus of KLD, demonstrated the use of CLICK (Centralized Library Information Center for Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas).
BOOK DONATION
Orange & Bronze Software Labs donated 20 boxes of technology and business leadership books to CLC on Sept. 9, 2025.
MANILA INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR (MIBF)
Goals:
- for the Faculty representatives of each institute to select and evaluate books for purchase
- for the CLC Personnel to scout for publishers and authors who might be interested to be exhibitors and guests in the upcoming KLD-CLC Book Fair
BOOK SIGNING
Jameila Barrientos, one of the librarians, will be having a book signing on Sept. 12 at the MIBF for her books “The Inevitable Ingrid,” “Hime, Prinsesa Ko” and “Ten Days and a Prom.”
A copy of “Ten Days and a Prom” and “Hime, Prinsesa Ko” are part of the CLC collection.
