I am guided by the wisdom of Dr. Onofre D. Corpuz, who saw education as the "great equalizer" that allows the poor to reclaim their dignity and place in the world. This same spirit fueled the mission of the late Cong. Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. and Mayor Jennifer Austria-Barzaga when they created KLD. By offering free college education, they ensured that the dreams of our youth are no longer limited by their financial means, allowing them to contribute their talents to our city's growing knowledge economy. To ensure our students are prepared for the world, KLD focuses on raising the bar for Quality and Internationalization. We strive for excellence not just in meeting CHED requirements, but in helping our students achieve licensure passing rates that lead the nation. From our humble beginnings in Psychology, Technology and Midwifery, we are growing into a comprehensive institution with new programs in the Sciences, Engineering, and Social Work, eventually reaching into Medicine and Law. Our goal is to mold graduates who lead with both skill and moral character. This mission is a collective journey involving our faculty, deans, directors and other KLD leaders. We are working toward seamless academic alignment and the inclusion of citizenship training to ensure our learners grow holistically. Our educators are also focused on uplifting at-risk students through competency programs and expanding our global footprint through research. Together, as a community of innovators and stewards, we are building a foundation where every Dasmarineño has the opportunity to succeed. Testing sentence
