Institute of Student Affairs, Character Education, and Citizenship

The Dean of the Institute of Student Affairs, Character Education and Citizenship serves as its chief academic and administrative officer and is directly responsible to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. He/she is responsible for the quality and standards of education, research, and community collaboration, and is expected to contribute to strategic policy-making and decision-making in the institution.



Duties and Responsibilities

The Dean of the Institute of Student Affairs, Character Education, and Citizenship shall undertake the following functions:

  • Presiding in faculty meetings of the college;
  • Supervision of the administration and classification of students and their class assignments;
  • Maintenance of orderly behavior and discipline of faculty members, employees, and students of the college;
  • Identification and recruitment of competent faculty members and recommending them for hiring;
  • Submission to the President, within sixty (60) days after the beginning of each semester, of a written report on enrolment, faculty appointments and faculty vacancies, stating the positions to be filled and the qualifications required;
  • Submission of a written report to the President within thirty (30) days after the end of each term on the performance ratings of the members of the faculty, which will be used as basis for enhancing their performance; and
  • Submission to the President of all proposals or recommendations involving (i) instruction, research, and extension, (ii) scholarships and exchange of persons, (iii) offers of aid, and (iv) similar matters received by the college from any source.
