The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas-Institute of Midwifery (KLD-IOM) held its 3rd Pinning, Investiture, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies at the KLD Gymnasium on July 12, 2024.
The event was a momentous occasion for the first-year midwifery students, who were pinned with their white uniforms, and for the midwives, who recited the midwives’ oath and lit candles signifying their compassion, dedication, and service to the healthcare communities.
Hon. Lourdes Mangahas, a member of the PRC Board for Midwives, delivered an inspiring message to the midwifery students. She stressed the important role that midwives play in the healthcare system and encouraged them to strive to be the best midwives they can be.
Mayor Jenny Barzaga, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Dasmariñas were also in attendance to show their support for the KLD midwifery students and graduates.
KLD President/Administrator Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias and the faculty members of the Institute of Midwifery were also present to witness their students’ achievements.
This event was a celebration of the hard work and dedication of the midwifery students. It was also a reminder of the important role that midwives play in providing safe and effective healthcare services to the communities.
