KLD Community commits for continuous service and success in 2025

Maria Lourdes Javier, a faculty member at KLD, has made a powerful commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in education within Dasmariñas. Her pledge emphasizes lifelong learning, community service, and a holistic approach to education that extends beyond the traditional classroom setting.

“As an educator, I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence by strengthening education, fostering lifelong learning, and promoting and encouraging community service,” Javier stated. Her vision transcends simply imparting knowledge and aims to empower both students and fellow educators to embrace continuous growth and contribute meaningfully to society. Her commitment involves investing in her own continuous learning and empowering fellow educators through professional development and mentorship. She aims to guide students toward lifelong learning and social responsibility by integrating service-learning into her teachings, bridging theory and practice. Javier also plans to foster peer learning communities, recognizing the value of collaborative learning and shared industry experience. Furthermore, she will prioritize community engagement through volunteer initiatives, outreach programs, and partnerships with local organizations, providing students with hands-on learning and fostering civic responsibility. Through these interconnected strategies, Javier aspires to create a culture where educators inspire.

The Mission and Development Unit of the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas has reaffirmed its commitment to driving positive change in the city. Headed by Bien Anonuevo, the unit has pledged to be a catalyst for social transformation, environmental preservation, and economic growth in Dasmariñas. This commitment is anchored in the SULONG TAYO Program, KLD’s flagship extension effort. The unit, in collaboration with partner institutions, will leverage this program to uplift the lives of Dasmarineños through diverse engagements designed to improve their social, environmental, and economic standing. “For the first half of this year, Mission and Development Unit as part of the Center for Mission, Linkages and External Relations under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Mission and External Affairs will initiate an upskilling project of vulnerable sectors in the City through research orientation and production; skills development in accordance to the nature of KLDs academic institutes; social entrepreneurship; and family development.

This project will equip students with confident capabilities which they could bring whether for academic and professional purposes or labor related ventures.”, stated Bien Anonuevo.

Julie Ann Jasmin, Nurse I from the Health Services Unit at KLD, has pledged to enhance the unit’s efficiency and responsiveness. ” I am fully committed to enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of our unit, by ensuring the delivery of compassionate and accessible healthcare for students, faculty, and staff over the next six months and beyond,” Jasmin stated. 

She is dedicated to leading by example, implementing high standards of clinical practice and prioritizing patient safety. Jasmin’s goal is to contribute to KLD’s overall success by maintaining professionalism and ensuring the Health Services Unit remains a place of safety, trust, and healing for the entire college community.

The Central Student Government of Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas has pledged to be a “force for positive change,” not just a governing body. “The Central Student Government of Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas is not just a governing body, but a force for positive change,” the CSG stated. Committed to serving their fellow “Regals” with dedication and integrity, the CSG will focus on enhancing academic support, fostering an inclusive campus environment, and strategically improving student welfare. They pledge to advocate for policies that benefit the student body and actively engage in community service. Upholding good governance, transparency, and inclusivity, the CSG aims to build a stronger, more connected, and empowered student body, ensuring every Regal voice is heard and every need addressed. 

The CSG expresses its gratitude to their adviser, Mr. Prince Marcus Andre’ Soriano Lerma, and the KLD administration, including the President/College Administrator Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, ISACEC Dean Mr. Geordan L. Carungcong, and Head of Student Activities and Development Unit Mr. Jet Martine S. Geronimo, along with the teaching and non-teaching personnel, for their unwavering support. The CSG believes in a KLD where every student thrives and succeeds, and this, they affirm, is their commitment and promise.
