The Health Services Unit (HSU) organized the PhilHealth Konsulta orientation for the incoming first year KLD students with the help of the PhilHealth and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) on June 20, 21 and 24, 2024. The PhilHealth representatives discussed the benefits for members of the agency and guided them on how to fill out the membership form. After the discussion, the CSWDO representatives assessed the documents submitted by the incoming first year students.
Led by Ma. Obelia M. Fontanilla, Chief of Social Insurance Officer- PhilHealth Dasma, the representatives from PhilHealth were composed of: Melba B. Khan; Roldan L. Evangelista; Darlene D. Albaño; and Toni- Lyn K. Agapay. Representing the CSWDO were: Josie Dela Cruz; Aileen Adap; Jane Ausena; Cecille Adelante; Glo Mantele; Jho Soliven; Lenny Dinapo; Leny Martes; Lena Cabansa; Len Ellar; Fe Drilon; Jane Aquino; Mercy Lubao; Emily Lara; Raquel Escobin; Sally Sadora; Rowena Japson; Susan Reyes; Virgie Camerino; and Jusanel Albarico.
Furthermore, the following KLD administrators assisted the said orientation: Julie Ann D. Jasmin, Head of Health Services Unit; Herlyn G. Blasurca, Associate Dean of Institute of Nursing; Russel E. Gatdula, Associate Dean of Institute of Mathematical Applications and Computing Sciences; Ma. Eunice Luching, Associate Dean of Institute of Liberal Arts; Alona R. Per PhilHealth Cir. No. 2020-022, this program provides “access to primary care by adopting a responsive financing mechanism for the delivery of quality primary care services and commodities. Likewise, it aims to define the PhilHealth Konsulta benefit package and to provide specific guidelines on registration to a primary care provider, benefit availment, applicable payment mechanism, reporting rules and performance assessment.”
