KLD held its 2nd Commencement Exercises, marking a significant milestone for 54 students who successfully completed the Diploma in Midwifery program. The graduation ceremony took place on August 30, 2024, and was graced by esteemed guests and proud parents.
The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Roberto A. Espos, Jr., a Pediatrician at De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC). Dr. Espos delivered an inspiring message to the graduates, emphasizing the importance of their role in providing quality maternal and child health care.
In her congratulatory message, Hon. Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga expressed her pride in the graduates and highlighted the significance of KLD in fulfilling the dreams of the city’s scholars.“Ang KLD ay isa sa mga pinangarap ng ating Congressman, ng inyong lingkod, at lahat ng namununo dito dahil ito ang magbibigay ng katuparan sa ating mga Iskolar ng Bayan. Dahil sa inyong pagsusumikap, mayroon tayong graduation sa oras na ito. Your diploma is the testament of your hardwork,” Hon. Mayor Barzaga said in her message.
Charlene Mae Ladisla delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of her batchmates. She expressed gratitude to the late Congressman Elpidio Barzaga, Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga, the Sangguniang Panlungsod members, KLD administrators, and IOM faculty members for their unwavering support. Ladisla encouraged her fellow graduates to carry the knowledge and skills they acquired at KLD and use them to make a positive impact on the lives of mothers, children, and communities.
