KLD congratulates College Learning Commons (CLC) as the Office of the Month, recognizing its exceptional leadership in promoting literacy and academic engagement!
This recognition comes on the heels of the highly successful 91st National Book Week celebration, held from November 17 to 19, 2025. Under the theme "Tulay ang Pagbasa sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa," CLC demonstrated their commitment to the institutional mission of building a strong foundation for every Dasmarineño student. Throughout the three-day celebration, the CLC managed a diverse calendar of events that catered to both creative and academic interests. The festivities featured a massive KLD Book Fair and a special book signing event with noted author Ms. Cymbeline R. Villamin. The office also prioritized student participation through the Digital Poster Making Contest and the "Pen It Fast" Short Story Contest, the latter of which was held at the newly utilized Library Extension. These initiatives provided students with a platform to showcase their talents while reinforcing the library’s role as more than just a quiet study space, but a dynamic center for creative expression.
By organizing seminars on creative writing and managing complex logistics for multi-day contests, the CLC has proven its ability to execute large-scale programs that resonate with the entire academic community. This award serves as a well-deserved tribute to an office that consistently goes beyond its traditional duties to foster a genuine love for reading and lifelong learning among the student body.
