KLD has concluded a major market survey to assess the community interest and professional need for three potential academic offerings in animal healthcare: the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), the Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology, and the Veterinary Nurse (NC III) national certificate program. KLD plans to offer a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology for the 2027-2028 academic year. Last October 01, a Demand Survey was conducted. There was a total of 588 respondents to the survey. The respondents were asked to complete an online survey form to gather information about their interest in the Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology program. Below are the significant results of the survey.
The chart shows an overwhelming preference for the first option, with more than 356 respondents selecting it. This strong result indicates clear alignment between the respondents’ needs and the offering represented by the first option. It reflects confidence, satisfaction, and a positive reception, suggesting that the program or proposal effectively meets expectations and is viewed as the most favorable choice by the greater portion of respondents.
The chart shows a strong preference for the second option, with 362 respondents selecting it—significantly higher than the first and third options. This indicates a clear alignment between the respondents’ needs and the features represented by the second option. The result demonstrates confidence, satisfaction, and a positive reception, suggesting that the proposed program element associated with this option is seen as the most favorable and responsive to stakeholders’ expectations.
The Veterinary Nurse (NC III) technical program also showed compelling demand. While it was the leading third option among respondents, gathering approximately 300 selections, the overall enthusiasm points to a recognition of the need for qualified technical support staff in animal clinics and agricultural settings. This indicates a growing awareness of specialized roles beyond the DVM degree.
