The KLD Institute of Nursing (ION) held its 1 st Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies for level 2 nursing students on September 13, 2024.
It was a solemn occasion that marked the formal entry of nursing students to the profession of nursing as they donned their nursing caps and pins.The ceremony was also highlighted by the traditional candle-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the purity and compassion that nurses embody. The newly minted student nurses also took the Nightingale Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to ethical and compassionate care.
Dr. Fe Compas, Dean of ION, congratulated the student nurses and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of nursing practice. She underlined the importance of empathy, integrity, and lifelong learning in the profession.
KLD is proud of its student nurses and confident that they will make significant contributions to the healthcare industry.
