College Learning Commons prides of its latest book collections

The KLD College Learning Commons has the latest collection of newly acquired books for July 2025. This expansion of resources across Fiction, Non-Fiction, General Education, and Social Work emphasizes the institution’s commitment to providing students with the necessary tools for academic achievement, intellectual enrichment, and professional growth. These additions serve to not only support the existing curriculum but also to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning and critical inquiry within the student community.

The General Education section, a foundational component of the library’s collection, has been notably enhanced with a diverse range of titles that serve as essential resources for interdisciplinary study. Texts such as the second edition of Writing Project Feasibility Study by Nick L. Aduana and Science, Technology, and Society by McNamara, Valverde, and Beleno offer practical guides and theoretical frameworks crucial for navigating complex academic and real-world challenges. Other additions, including Understanding the Self and Gender and Society, provide students with a deeper comprehension of human identity and social dynamics, fostering a more reflective and inclusive perspective.

For students enrolled in the Social Work program, the new acquisitions offer specialized resources that address contemporary challenges in the field. Titles like Disaster and Mental Health by Ma. Joycelyn A. Go-Monilla and Social Work Practice with Adults provide practical and theoretical knowledge essential for future professionals. Furthermore, books exploring advanced concepts such as Complexity Theory for Social Work Practice and Innovation for Social Change equip students with a progressive and strategic mindset, preparing them to assume leadership roles and adapt within a rapidly evolving social services landscape.
