KLD has deployed its BS in Psychology and BS in Information Systems students for on-the-job training. This program provides practical experience, bridging academic learning with real-world application. KLD aims to equip students with industry-ready skills through partnerships with various organizations.
The 166 students under Bachelor of Science in Information Systems were deployed for their on-the-job training (OJT) program. This initiative, aligning with CHED-CMO 15, series of 2015, will provide students with 486 hours of invaluable industry experience.
The deployment process was coordinated by Arnold Galve, Coordinator of the Students’ Industry Relations Section, whose dedication and expertise were instrumental in facilitating the successful placement of each student. Students have been placed in 56 diverse partner companies. Students have been placed in companies such as iQor Philippines, Okada Manila, Primewater Infrastructure Corp., Southern Luzon College, SSS Robinsons Place Dasmariñas Branch, SSS Salitran Branch, St. Jude College-Dasmariñas Cavite, Inc., Wellcare Clinics & Labs Inc., and Your Virtual World, among others, representing a broad spectrum of industries.
The OJT program is designed to cultivate essential skills, including analytical and technical proficiency, programming expertise, soft skills, and office work management. Students will engage in tasks that directly apply their academic knowledge, preparing them for successful careers in the dynamic field of information systems.
The expected completion date for the OJT program is April 30, 2025, although individual completion dates may vary depending on students’ start dates. Upon completion, students are required to submit a comprehensive narrative report, documenting their experiences and acquired skills.
KLD has deployed the Bachelor of Science in Psychology students for their on-the-job training (OJT) program. Students will undertake a 200-hour OJT program in various partner institutions, engaging in psychology-related activities under the supervision of qualified professionals. These activities include, but are not limited to, policy planning, employee testing and selection, training and development, as well as organizational development and analysis. The supervision will be provided by registered psychometricians, Human Resource Managers, or HR officers-in-charge, ensuring that students receive guidance from experienced professionals.
Psychology students have embarked on diverse On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployments across several prominent institutions. These placements include De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, Bahay PAGASA, Heart of Jesus Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, Kanlong Foundation for Differently-abled Children , Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Cavite Center for Mental Health, Bahay Kalinga (CSWD Office), Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions, Inc., Lifeline Rehabilitation Center and many more.
