The Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) from the Commission on Higher Education Region IV-A paid a visit to the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) evaluation of BS Midwifery program on January 24, 2024 at the KLD AVR Building 1.
The program commenced with an opening message by Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, President of KLD. He welcomed all participants, with a special recognition for the CHED Region IV-A RQAT led by Dr. Judith Mary Ann Chan, Education Supervisor II. Dr. Cabanias explained the importance of COCP for the recognition of programs and stressed the willingness of the institution to comply with the requirements stipulated in CHED Memorandum Order No.14, Series of 2019.
Ma. Teresa Cruz-Padilla, President of the Association of the Philippine Schools of Midwifery, Inc., congratulated KLD for ranking 10th in the November 2023 Midwifery Licensure Examination (MLE).
She accentuated the dire need for midwives in the global healthcare, KLD’s challenge in maintaining its performance in MLE and compliance with the CHED policies and guidelines.
The onsite COPC evaluation marks a significant milestone in KLD’s pursuit of providing educational offerings. With the CHED RQAT’s rigorous evaluation process, KLD can ensure its continuous improvement and efforts of delivering high-quality programs for Dasmarinenos.
