The highly anticipated College Building 3 (CB3) is on the verge of full completion, with a recent site inspection confirming the structure has reached an impressive 95% overall readiness. According to our on-site contacts, the final stretch of work consists predominantly of architectural finishes, with only residual, minor tasks remaining in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the eight-story structure.
The interior is transforming into a fully functional learning environment. A major milestone has been reached with the new elevator now fully operational. Painting works are largely concluded, especially on the upper floors, bringing color and life to the new laboratories and classrooms. Furthermore, the installation of core fixtures in the comfort rooms is complete, with all toilets, urinals, lavatories, and wall glass panels in place; only the installation of cubicle partitions remains before these facilities are fully finished. The specialized 7th-floor laboratories are also ready for final outfitting, as all drainage provisions and piping have been installed.
While the primary focus is now on aesthetics and final safety checks, pockets of concentrated activity continue. On the 8th floor, dedicated to the expansive Multipurpose Hall, flooring is currently being laid, alongside remaining tasks in masonry, tiling, and touch-ups to the electrical and plumbing lines. Similarly, once the final mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fittings are secured throughout the building, the ceilings in most areas will be sealed. The roof deck is also nearly final, with most of the air-conditioning outdoor units and circuit breakers securely installed. The area awaits only the polishing of some remaining electrical connections before it is considered complete.
The final push for architectural details signals that College Building 3 is preparing for its much-awaited turn-over, promising state-of-the-art facilities for the institution's growing student body in Dasmariñas.
