ISACEC's Integrated Approach to Student Life
ISACEC showcased its commitment to student development through the ISACEC Week Celebration (Nov 10–14, 2025), featuring leadership training, a Quiz Bee, service exhibits, and a BJMP-led information drive on community issues.

The Institute of Student Affairs, Character Education and Citizenship (ISACEC) at the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) has demonstrated a strong commitment to holistic student development and community outreach through a series of key initiatives. A major highlight was the ISACEC Week Celebration held from November 10-14, 2025, under the theme "ALL IN: United for Responsible Studenthood". This event featured diverse activities to empower the student body, including an exhibit showcasing the Institute's services and support mechanisms. Student leaders, specifically class Vice Presidents, were equipped with crucial skills during a Psychological First Aid (PFA) session to help peers in times of stress or crisis. The celebration also included an Institute-wide Quiz Bee, promoting intellectual curiosity and fostering camaraderie, which was won by the Institute of Engineering. Furthermore, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) conducted an Information Drive to raise student awareness about pressing community concerns, such as anti-illegal drugs and anti-smoking initiatives.

In terms of student welfare and academic readiness, the ISACEC implemented the HAPAG-KALINGA: A Table of Care, Compassion and Community program on various dates in October 2025. This initiative provided free breakfast meals to KLD students, faculty, and staff, particularly those preparing for major examinations. The program’s rationale is centered on the belief that proper nutrition is vital for sustained energy, improved focus, and enhanced cognitive performance, thus reducing fatigue and anxiety during high-stakes testing situations. Beyond the campus, ISACEC personnel extended their reach into the local community with the "Let's PLAY: Protect, Listen, Ask, and Yes to Safety" community extension program on November 22, 2025. Organized in observance of National Children's Month, the seminar aimed to educate the children of Brgy. Emmanuel Bergado 1 on child protection and safety, with a specific focus on raising awareness about Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials.

Finally, the Institute demonstrated a commitment to continuous institutional improvement by conducting a Benchmarking Activity at De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila on November 25, 2025. This visit, which also included the Health Services Unit, provided key insights into best practices. A significant takeaway was DLSU’s model of integrating Guidance and Counseling into the academic program as a zero-credit component, which ensures structured and regular meetings with a counselor to promptly address student concerns. The team also noted the comprehensive ecosystem of care offered by DLSU’s Counseling and Psychological Services Office, which provides a robust set of nine specialized programs for student mental health and overall well-being. These activities collectively underscore the ISACEC's mission to ensure the holistic growth and safety of both its student population and the wider community.
