The Center for People Operations and Resource Management (CPORM) headed by Maria Archie Cabig held a technical writing seminar for KLD non-teaching personnel on November 15, 2024.
The seminar aimed to equip these employees with the essential skills required for effective technical communication in their daily work. This initiative is part of KLD’s staff development program, which recognizes the importance of technical writing skills in the modern workplace. It represents a strategic investment in the professional growth and development of the non-teaching staff, ensuring they have the tools to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the institution.
The technical writing seminar focused on imparting practical knowledge and hands-on experience in various aspects of technical documentation, including structure, style, formatting, and other key elements of effective technical writing.
It covered topics such as organizing content logically, using clear and concise language, applying appropriate formatting and layout, and ensuring overall readability and comprehension for the target audience. Participants also engaged in interactive exercises and workshops to practice applying these technical writing principles in real-world scenarios relevant to their work roles.
The seminar was made possible through the support of the Center for Knowledge Management headed by Cecilia Raquel Alvaran and the Publications unit led by Jhonies Saysi, who also served as the speaker of the said event.
