KLD proudly announces the College Learning Commons (CLC) as the Office of the Month! This honor is a tribute to the CLC’s dedication and in expanding resources and improving service delivery for our entire academic community.
The CLC has made substantial strides in expanding its resources to meet the diverse needs of KLD’s students and faculty. The physical collection has grown to 1,977 books, with recent focused acquisitions including 170 books for Engineering and 168 books for Social Work and General Education. Beyond the physical collection, the CLC provides crucial access to a vast world of scholarly material through digital subscriptions like Philippine E-Journals (PEJ) and the e-book service Perlego, alongside other essential online resources such as EBSCOhost, ProQuest, SAGE Journals, and Britannica Education.
The CLC also actively fosters knowledge through its special issue newsletter, “Booklat,” and recently conducted a Library User Training Program via Zoom to teach the community how to effectively use its online systems, including CLICK. Furthermore, the CLC is building partnerships, as evidenced by a generous recent book donation of 20 boxes of technology and business leadership books from Orange & Bronze Software Labs. These collective efforts demonstrate the CLC’s contribution to the college’s core mission of knowledge and excellence.
